English Week

Our language week in school

The English week is a once in a lifetime experience. I would describe the English week as one week of fun, learning new words, playing games and using your own creativity.

At first I was a bit hesitant, because we didn’t know what we would do in this week. As Garett, one of the English Teachers ,came into class, we were all  kind of sceptical , but after we met all of the three teachers we knew that it would be a really exciting and funny week. They all were so kind and open.

We mostly played games, where we had to use our own creativity and also our English skills. Sometimes we had to build groups and do some work, but never too much. All of the teachers asked if we needed help and gave us good tips. One of my favourite game was “travel agent”, here we had to negotiate on flights it was a bit chaotic but I found it funny. At the end of the week we had to either film a video and present it on Friday or do a live act, everyone was stressed about it because no one had an idea on what to do but they helped us and gave us tips on what to do, what to increase and I think every video/act turned out great.

Looking back, it’s amazing how we all ended up thinking and communicating confident in English by the end of the week. It truly was an unforgettable experience.
